Peppermill

I hadn’t been to the Peppermill in YEARS, until a few days ago. I remember coming here with my family when I was younger for breakfast. And I remember it being cheap, and the food being really good. I guess I should have left it just a memory! Unfortunately, the food is not what I remember it to be. We went here for breakfast, and I had the eggs and corned beef hash, which was good, but not great. The eggs were fine, but they didn’t do much to hide the fact that the corned beef hash came out of a can. Adam had the chorizo and eggs, and said the chorizo was good, but that the refried beans that came with it were pretty awful! For around $13 a plate, I’d just expect the quality of the food to be much, much better. Adam said the coffee wasn’t even good.. that it had a bit of an oil slick on top. Ick.
The inside of the Peppermill is still quirky and fun. A combination of neon like lights, mirrored tiles, and fake trees and plants inside the dining room! I guess if we should ever revisit the Peppermill, it will be to have a drink in the Fireside Lounge, and not for the food…
