Bagel Cafe

I usually try to eat healthy, but one of my weaknesses is  good corned beef. And the Bagel Cafe has one of the best! They make their own from scratch, brine and all. It’s tender, flavorful, and pretty lean. So when I come here, what do I always order? A 1/4 lb. corned beef sandwich on an everything bagel. Yes, I have tried some of their other sandwiches. The turkey pastrami is excellent, as is the hard salami. But I can’t pass on that corned beef! The sandwiches are the specialty here, and they come either as a full sandwich (1/2 lb.) or half (1/4 lb.). You can order it on your choice of bread, or on any of their freshly made bagels. Even the half sandwiches come on a full bagel, just with half the meat. Trust me, I usually have a hard time finishing that half! All sandwiches come with a choice of pasta salad, macaroni salad, or cole slaw, and one of their yummy homemade pickles.

The restaurant itself is nothing fancy; kind of a typical cafe type place. Adam and his mom likened it to a New York style restaurant/deli. Busy, lively, and energetic. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this place quiet! The service is usually good, although sometimes it can be a bit slow. But the sandwiches are worth the wait! They also have a nice selection of soups and salads, and a large breakfast menu.
