The Great Santa Run 2008

I’d been hearing about this event the past couple of years, and each time I thought “We should do that!” So this was the year. We opted to do the 1 mile walk instead of the 5K run. We did run the last 20 or so yards, though! Next year I’d like to do the 5K, so I guess I’ll have to start training soon…
The event benefits Opportunity Village, a Las Vegas charity that helps children and adults with intellectual disabilities by providing training, job placement, advocacy, and social recreation programs. So not only is the event fun, it benefits a great cause!
Hopefully we’ll find out if we broke the world record for the most Santas in one place soon!
