Yamadaya Ramen, Torrance, CA

Another ramen review? Of course! Ever since I moved to Seattle, I’ve been craving good ramen even more than when I lived in Las Vegas. Surprisingly, there really aren’t very many ramen places out here, and the best we’ve found still pales in comparison to the ‘just okay’ places in LA. Yamadaya is a newer place, located in an unassuming strip mall in Torrance. Small, with a limited menu. Perfect for a ramen-ya.
I had the tonkatsu shoyu ramen, which comes with thin noodles, sliced pork, egg, and seaweed. The noodles were semi-firm, and the broth was quite good, served nice and hot, and with plenty of flavor.
We also ordered the chicken karaage, which was quite flavorful, and not overly greasy, which I appreciate!
Yamadaya is another good spot amongst a slew of them in LA’s southbay area…
