Noodle Exchange

Posted on | November 15, 2010 | No Comments

Since we usually go to Ping Pang Pong if we’re at the Gold Coast, I hadn’t tried the Noodle Exchange until recently. Now I kind of wish I had, as I really liked some of the dishes here! Especially the San Pan Tofu pictured above. Tofu breaded and fried with garlic, shallots, green onions and chiles. I could’ve just eaten the entire plate of this as a meal!

Here’s the other things we ordered:

Red Wontons: I’d never had this dish before, but my brother insisted it was good. And it was! Soft cooked wontons fried in a sesame chili oil sauce. Quite a wonderful, spicy flavor.

We couldn’t very well come to the Noodle Exchange and not order any noodles, right?! We opted for the Chicken and Veggie stir fried noodles. A nice version.

One of our staple items to order is Mongolian beef, and this was a good version; tender beef with a bit of a kick.

For dessert we shared an order of mango pudding. Tasty, although a bit firmer than I’m used to.

I’d definitely recommend this place, especially if you intend to eat at Ping Pang Pong, and find the wait to be too long. The Noodle Exchange is a nice alternative!
