I’ve never been a huge fan of buffets. Living here in Vegas, though, it’s pretty hard to avoid going to one every now and then… especially if you have relatives visiting often who LOVE them. So yes, I’ve been to quite a few. The most recent one I went to was out at the M Resort, the Studio B buffet. And I think it was probably the biggest buffet I’ve ever been to!
I have to admit, some of the items were actually quite good. Especially some of the desserts. I’d pay for that creme brulee, and the chocolate covered rice crispy things? Genius. The entrees were good too, the meats were tender, the sushi was okay, as far as buffet sushi goes, and the Thai food actually had some kick to it! Here’s some of the items I tried:
The prime rib at the carving station was pretty good; medium rare, moist, and tender.
Again, I am in NO way advocating the greatness of buffet sushi. But they had a better than average selection, and the fish was fairly fresh.
I thought the fish and chips looked good at the station; unfortunately the chips were okay, but the fish was a bit dry.
The mediterranean had some okay stuffed grape leaves, and good tabbouleh.
My favorite, dessert! I must have tried 6 or 7 different desserts. Thank goodness they were small portions.
At around $24, it’s definitely not the cheapest buffet out there, but I’d say it is one of the better ones…
