On my last day in L.A., I wanted to try the American Farmhouse in Manhattan Beach, which I’d heard good things about. The restaurant is small, clean and cute. Contemporary, yet with a retro ‘farmhouse’ kitchen style to it.
As is my usual breakfast habit while in L.A., I split an entree with my mom; a skillet which was more than enough food. It contained a turkey patty, eggs, ranch potatoes, trail camp beans, salsa, ortega chiles, and shredded cheese, and was accompanied with a slice of ranch style toast. Everything was fresh, hearty, and extremely flavorful, and at $6.95, quite a steal! I liked that they have a variety of ‘grilled meat’ options to go with most of the breakfasts, to include flank steak, turkey patty, Portuguese sausage, bacon, and ham. Great food, at a great price.
