Another restaurant that has a location across town, and recently expanded to the NW area. The location is a bit odd; it’s inside of the Town Center Lounge, visible from the 95 freeway. They opened a few weeks ago, and, being pizza lovers, we decided to give it a try recently.
Obviously not too many people knew they were open yet, as we were the only customers in the place on a Saturday afternoon. We had a bit of an argument over what to order; Adam wanted the deep dish, and I wanted the thin crust. I ‘initially’ let him have his way, but we found out that they didn’t even have the right equipment to make deep dish yet, so I won out in the end! I found it a bit odd, though, that they’d even open without the ability to make a deep dish pizza. Oh well.
The pizza was good; it took awhile to get to us, but I guess that could be a good thing if they were making everything fresh. It was served to us quite hot. The crust was good, although a bit soft in the middle. The toppings were nice and fresh, and there was more than enough cheese. We found the sauce, however, to be a bit too sweet.
Along with our pizza, we split a chopped salad, which was a bit plain, but okay.
My initial consensus is that the pizza was good, although not the best I’ve had in town. Settebello’s and Metro pizza still hold that honor for me. But because it’s right down the street from our house, we’ll likely return to try the deep dish at some point.
