Stripburger

It’s been awhile since I tried a new burger place, and one chilly afternoon recently, I found myself at Stripburger in the Fashion Show Mall. This place is actually a part of Cafe BaBa Reeba, as it shares a kitchen, and a few of the burgers are available on BaBa Reeba’s menu. Stripburger, however, is a small, circular bar with surrounding tables, in a semi enclosed glassed in room, directly facing the Strip. With the traffic right in front of you, it certainly isn’t quiet. And in the dead of winter, in a semi enclosed room, it certainly isn’t warm. Even with the heat lamps on. I can only imagine how uncomfortable it must get in the heat of summer!
Anyway, about the food. My party decided to order three burgers and one order of the ‘Threesome”, which contained the fried pickles, onion strings, and french fries. All were good, but next time, I might just opt for a single order of the fried pickles, as they were quite good!

For the burgers, we ordered the bacon cheddar burger, the bleu cheese burger, and a turkey burger. My favorite by far was the bacon cheddar. It had a nice thick slice of bacon, and was meaty, cheesy, and quite tasty. The burger itself was cooked medium, and was served to us nice and hot. I found it to be quite juicy and flavorful. The bleu cheese burger would probably have been good to me, except for the fact that I’m not a fan of the taste of bleu cheese, and the taste was very much there. The turkey burger I found a bit odd. Instead of a ground turkey patty, it was a turkey breast, much like a chicken burger would be. In fact, we thought we’d mistakenly gotten a chicken burger, but it did have a turkey taste to it. Good, but for me, a turkey burger can never quite stand up flavor-wise to a beef or bison burger!
All in all, the food was good, but it certainly wasn’t the best burger I’ve ever had. If you’re at the mall, or walking down the strip, and craving a burger, I’d recommend it. As long as you don’t plan to sit in the dining area for a long period of time!

Meh. As much as I like BaBa Reeba and LOVE Mon Ami Gabi, I’m just not into Stripburger. It seems like Gabino Satino just agreed to do this because a number of tourists were still afraid of real Spanish tapas when BaBa Reeba first opened and demand was high for a burger joint.
IMHO Burger Bar does better burgers down The Strip. Or for REALLY great burgers (including the best house-made veggie burger ever created!), LBS in Summerlin truly can’t be beat.

I completely agree with you; Burger Bar is still my favorite, with LBS coming in a close second! I’m wondering if Stripburger will still be around, though, once BaBa Reeba closes.

I checked the Lettuce Entertain You web site, and they’re still listing Stripburger (and this is after they delisted the Vegas Ba Ba Reeba). I have a feeling they’ll just remove “at Cafe Ba Ba Reeba” from Stripburger’s name and just attach it to the Mexican restaurant they plan to replace Ba Ba Reeba with.
