We trekked out to this restaurant after hearing that the ramen was really good. I’d drive just about anywhere for good ramen! We opted for our usual respective ramen choices, I had the Wonton Ramen and Adam had the Mabo Ramen, and we shared gyoza and a half order of the house fried rice.

The wonton-men was good; the wontons were tasty and well cooked, the noodles were nice and firm, but the broth was a bit too spicy for my liking. Adam seemed to enjoy his Mabo Ramen. So far so good. But… the prices were ridiculous! They had an option of a queen size and a king size. The king size is basically the size any Ramen-Ya in LA would serve, and for an average of around $7-$8, depending on what’s in the ramen, of course. The queen sizes at Yokohama were $8-$9, and the king sizes were from $10-$12. That is ridiculously expensive for ramen. And it’s good, but not great ramen! What insulted me even more was that they had Mugi-Cha on the menu, which is basically iced barley tea. I’m used to being served this for free, and they were charging almost $4 a glass for it!

The gyoza and fried rice were both good, kind of your typical gyoza and fried rice, if you know what I mean.

To sum it up, even though the ramen was good, due to the prices and distance from our house, we will probably not be going back.
