For the sake of a good Valentine’s Day dessert, we trekked out to the Bellagio for pastries from Jean Phillippe’s. The place was absolutely packed, and they have a beautiful selection of pastries! Choosing only two was pretty tough…

I decided on the Triple Chocolate, and Adam chose the Cheesecake. The Triple Chocolate is not only gorgeous, it’s a chocolate lovers dream! It has three types of smooth and chocolatey mousse inside, with what I believe was a white chocolate biscuit on the bottom. Half of it is covered in a rich, sweet and dark chocolate sauce, and the other half with cocoa powder, and it’s all topped with a marshmallow twist.

The Cheesecake is rich, creamy, and extremely decadent. Inside of the white chocolate shell is a cracker crust, creamy cheesecake, and raspberry topping. Really good!

Jean Phillippe’s is also the home of the world’s largest chocolate fountain. I was too lazy to back up and get a shot of the entire fountain… here’s the bottom half of it:

Jean Phillippe’s also has a nice selection of chocolates, gelatos, coffees, crepes and sandwiches.
